Day #8: 29-Day Giving Challenge

Posted by Kate on February 11th, 2009. Filed under: 29-Day Giving Challenge.

I spent two hours in a bridal salon last night!  Definitely not my idea of a good time, but I had to order all of the bridesmaids’ dresses for the wedding. So I guess my “give” yesterday was to my bridesmaids.  Spending two hours with crazy Irma at Irma’s Bridal Salon after a long day of work was, well, more work.  But, I’m glad that task is done and my bridesmaids will have something to wear come September 12th.

Hey, I’d say you offered up a lovely musical “give” yesterday. I keep playing the song over and over. I’m trying not to get sick of it. Also–I put a link up on my site. I just stole your logo and hyperlinked it, but if you have another image you’d prefer send it along.

Oh yes! But that was your V-Day gift and it took me two seconds once I saw it on the iTunes homepage. I’m not crazy about my logo, but it’s what I have for now. Thanks!

I’ve been waiting for your commentary on the Grammy’s! Did you catch them? I was flipping so I saw bits and pieces. I thought everyone just sounded bad live. What’s with Coldplay? I feel like they sound great on the radio but crappy on TV/Live. I watched them perform Viva la Vida on SNL and then on the Grammys. Chris Martin’s voice cracks a lot plus someone said that it looked like he wore Moses’ shirt to the Grammys! But everyone I hear from who have seen them live in concert say they’re great.

you know, I thought I’d have something to say about the grammys, but I turned the show on and watched a little and then shut it off because I bored. It was the same old thing, the same people, the same song, the same mileys and jonas people and kid rock (I think this man’s career is now solely based on award show performances). So sadly, I had nothing to say. Though I could have had a post which would say: “The 2009 Grammy Award Show took place on Sunday night. I was bored and shut off my TV. The performances did not even qualify as good background noise. The end.”
