Find Your Chances

The ironic part of belonging to a gym in suburbia is that everyone fights each other for parking spaces close to the gym entrance.  I mean, people going to a gym to get exercise shouldn’t really be that concerned with a little extra walking from their car to the front door! Of course, I’ve been sucked into the gym parking wars since I go to the gym after work during peak hours when the place is packed. Yesterday, I found a nice parking spot close to the gym entrance.  Clearly, it was my lucky day.  However, I ended up giving up the spot to the person who had pulled up in back of me just after I saw the space and turned on my blinker.  I thought I should be generous and burn a few extra calories in the process.
